Course Overview

 

This course is a skills programme in Project Management from the full qualification at NQF Level 4 entitled. Further Education and Training Certificate in Project Management Qualification ID: 50080.  Learners who complete these unit standards can go on and complete the full qualification if they wish. If not it is a comprehensive skills programme which is of value for any one involved in management or working on projects. 

 

This course is targeted at people who are first time project managers or project team members or administrators. The course is targeted at Event managers; Event coordinators; Project managers; Programme managers; All Managers; Planning Department members; Government and Municipality employees and officials; Individuals responsible for ad hoc projects in addition to existing key performance areas; Those with prior work experience in Project Management but without any formal training in the field.

 

HIV/AIDS in the Workplace for Peer Educators

US 114491: Educate and work closely with the community with regard to Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s), including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). NQF Level 4. Credits 10.

 

Course Overview

 

 The course is targeted at participants who have an interest and a passion to work in the field of HIV Aids providing support to those infected or affected and raising awareness in communities.  Entry requirements for the course are Grade 12 in schooling or NQF Level 4 in Communication or experience in the field.

The course focuses on the core theoretical knowledge around STIs, with specific reference to HIV/AIDS.  The course has a specific focus on the impact on vulnerable groups.  Peer Educators or Counsellors are trained in prevention techniques, the importance of pre and post test counselling, as well as advocacy work informing communities of the rights of HIV positive people.  The learner is introduced to HIV policies as well as an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety and how universal precautions relate to the occupational environment. A key component of the course is the role of the patient advocated in awareness raising, focusing on the rights of those who are HIV positive and advocacy work in the community.

Course Overview

 

This is one of the key unit standards that facilitators of education and training and occupational learning need to be accredited with.  The course equips learners to be able to understand the NQF and outcomes based learning and to facilitate against unit standards. The course covers the key components of facilitation theoretically and has a practical component where the learner gets an opportunity to facilitate a workshop during the course.  Faranani shares a lot of its experience in facilitating fun and meaningful learning events.  At the end of the course the learner will be equipped to facilitate in a range of different contexts using a variety of methodologies.

Course Overview

This is an advanced course in Project Management with unit standards from the full qualification. Further Education and Training Certificate in Project Management Qualification ID: 50080.

Learners who complete these unit standards can go on and complete the full qualification if they wish. If not it is a comprehensive Project Management Skills Programme which is of value for anyone working on projects. 

Ideally learners doing this course should be project managers currently managing projects or be involved in project management teams. These projects may be technical projects, business projects or developmental projects and will cut across a range of economic sectors. This course will also add value to learners who are running their own business and recognize that project management forms an integral component of any business.
