<li>Analyse conflicts so one can understand the perceptions and assumptions that led to the conflict</li>

<p>Earlier this year, Faranani Facilitation Services were awarded the tender to train members of the City of Cape Towns Tourism Department in a programme which entailed in depth facilitation on the following accredited programmes: Report Writing; Presentation Skills; Facilitation Skills NQF Level 5 and Conflict Management.  We have just successfully completed Facilitation Skills NQF Level 5 and welcome the public to join the Conflict Management Programme which commences from 15-17 September. <li><strong>Youth Development</strong><br />
Faranani Facilitation Services was involved in a contract to train 108 youth from 6 different districts around Cape Town during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the June / July holidays in Life Skills, Leadership, Sport Fitness and the Setting up of Sports Clubs. The core focus of the camps was to empower the youth, develop leadership skills, get learners to take part in teambuilding activities and teach them about basic hygiene and personal development. <a href="http://www.farananiservices.co.za/?page_id=365">Please click here to see pictures from the camps.</a></p>
<p><strong>Outcomes of the course:</strong><br />
Personal development and self-esteem, problem solving, conflict management, diversity awareness, understanding effective leadership, apply the relationship between leaders and followers, understand their own leadership styles and different styles to use in different situations, sport coaching, role of the coach, coaching team members, communication, motivation of team members, club administration</p>
<p>This Youth development programme was a huge success and we look forward to shaping the minds of the youth and giving them the tools they need to equip them for life.</li>

<li><strong>Faranani Consulting with NGO&#8217;s in the Western Cape</strong><br />
Faranani Facilitation Services is currently involved in the planning and consultation process with a conglomerate of NGO&#8217;s within the Western Cape, around the upcoming NGO Week from the 20th &#8211; 25th September.<strong> </strong><strong>What is NGO Week?</strong><br />
NGO week is a powerful civil society advocacy campaign which provides us with an opportunity to come together to:</li>
<li>Raise issues of common concern</li>
<li>Share skills knowledge, work and insights</li>
<li>Promote and strengthen civil society&#8217;s role</li>
<li>Reclaim education and &#8220;learn our way out&#8221; collectively</li>
<li>Share our collective experiences, knowledges, works and views</li>
<li>Foster ongoing working relationships and</li>
<li>Devise strategic and practical ways to address poverty and inequality</li>

<li><strong>2010 World Cup</strong><strong> </strong><br />
In the spirit of the World Cup, the Directors of Faranani Facilitation Services have given the Faranani Team bonus match days off on all Cape Town game days! We had a wonderful breakfast morning to celebrate the success of Bafana!  Our offices will therefore be closed on the 11th; 14th; 18th; 21st; 24th; 29th June and 6th July.
